
About me
Jelena Grubišić-Čabo was born in Split, Croatia. She completed her master’s degree in solo
singing at the Richard Wagner Conservatory in Vienna, Austria in the class of Professor
Evelyn Schörkhuber, where she continues to achieve high results. She also graduated on the
University of Split, Academy of Arts, where she acquired the title of master of music theory,
mag. mus. and master of music culture, mag. art.
During her solo singing studies, she performed in Russia, Austria, Switzerland, Mexico and
throughout Croatia. She participated in projects around the world, the most notable are The
meeting Purcell Project, Concept and Setting with Leonard Prinslo in Vienna and the
International Project, Christmas Foundation Mahler’s Philharmonic Orchestra in Mexico.
She attended masterclass in Samobor, Croatia, under the guidance professor Claudia Louise Visca.
Active as an opera and concert singer, she promoted Croatian composers of the 20th and 21st
centuries in Moscow, Russia with a concert for percussion, voice and piano. She performed
opera roles from the baroque, romantic and contemporary repertoire: Stabat Mater (Rossini),
Rusalka (Rusalka), Norina (Don Pasquale), Liu (Turandot), Suor Angelica (Suor Angelica),
Mimi (La Boheme), Madama Butterfly (Madama Butterfly). She attended training courses
and seminars. She won 1st and 3rd place at regional and national competitions in Croatia.
